Blog 2: Healthcare System
Unfortunately, the public health of the country has always been bad. The times that I have had to go to the SAPU or the SAR in my commune it has always been full and you do not have to arrive almost dead to be attended or taken care of because otherwise one can be up to 6 hours or more waiting. But the bad organization is not the only problem, I believe that there are few doctors and nurses who are really interested in helping people. I say this because my mother is always attended by people without vocation and who only want money. My mother fell and broke her wrist on Father's Day, so we went to "Colina Salud" since it was the only place where there were hours left for the traumatologist, it turns out that the man told her that he had no fracture but one " break "and that with a plaster cast for a month she was going to recover, it happened that after the month and the time in which she should have felt her wrist better, her wrist still felt almost immobile, so I asked her for an hour in another place although We had to wait a little longer and the doctor who treated her told her that my mother did have a fracture in the end and that the previous doctor made her wrist be crooked, since my mother with the cast if she could move her hand so that he did not recover well. Now she is better but he must go to sessions with the kinesiologist. So my mother is still in pain, but the first doctor who treated her kept the money and was happy.
My dad has been waiting for like 10 years or more for an operation on his knee, but there is my dad always putting a smile on life. I hope one day health improves worldwide and that doctors have a vocation and desire to help and contribute.
It is so impotent to read how certain "doctors" do not care AT ALL about their patients, they just prescribe a couple of medicaments, indications, and that's it, next patient.
